Vocaloids and Utauloids are voicebanks of the Vocaloid and UTAU sythesizer softwares! They are used to make songs :3 they are to the music industry what the cotton gin was to the uhm,, cotton industry? Yes.

My favorite utau is Kasane Teto!, she is 31 years old, and has little drill things as a haircut..

As for the music itself, I prefer newer Teto songs to the older ones, even though the older ones are good. I'd suggest Machine Love and Minimum rage as a good introduction for modern audiences.

Teto is commonly associated with Hatsune Miku (the most well known vocaloid) and Akita Neru (the yellow one). These three are collectively refered to as "triple baka", the name stemming from a song of the same name.
